The first North American Challengers event is still ongoing, and four teams have emerged as the frontrunners for a spot at Masters Two, the first international VALORANT LAN in Reykjavík, Iceland. These teams will compete against four more teams for one of the two NA spots. Here is a look at the qualified teams:
# 100 Thieves
The champions of First Strike, 100 Thieves, have been on fire in the second stage of the tournament. They have yet to drop a single map or series throughout the qualifiers and main event of Challengers One. Asuna has been exceptional, with an average KD of 1.47 and an ACS of 289.5. The team is looking strong with nitr0 on Omen and Ethan taking on Sage’s duties.
# Team Envy
Team Envy is one of the best teams in North America and has shown their prowess in Challengers One. They only dropped a map to Version1 and Ghost Gaming but won decisively in the series that went to three maps. Victor has been performing exceptionally well, with a KD of 1.61 and an ACS of 294.6.
# XSET
XSET had a rough start in the first Masters event but has proven themselves in Challengers One. After a 2-0 loss to Envy and a thrashing on Bind by Immortals, XSET fought back and secured their spot in the Challengers Final with a dominant performance on Split. They still struggle against the top-tier NA teams but have time to practice.
# Version1
Version1 is a new face in VALORANT but consists of players with experience in the scene. They made a statement with a 2-0 victory over FaZe to reach Challengers One. Despite losing to Envy in the upper bracket, they rallied in the lower bracket with two three-map series wins. They are only two wins away from securing a spot in Iceland.
The Challengers One final is still ongoing, with Envy facing 100T in the upper bracket, and Version1 taking on XSET in the lower bracket. Andbox, Built By Gamers, Cloud9 Blue, and Immortals will qualify for the Challengers Two main event automatically. The rest of the Challengers Two field will be determined by open qualifiers.
