The Ideal Tool for Every Battle Sage: A VALORANT Player’s Bind Wall

The Battle Sage: Utilizing a Special Spot on Bind

The Battle Sage may not be as strong as before, but players can still make use of cheeky ideas to maximize her potential. With Bind returning to the VALORANT map pool, one player has discovered a special spot that can give an advantage to the healer.

The Bind rework introduces a vent opening on the B site, creating a small gap between the B site and B side hall. While this opening is not intended for holding angles, Sage can still reach it. A Reddit post on May 13 showcased how one player utilized this spot.

By placing the wall on the corner of the B site tube near the vent opening, Sage can peek into B side hall and catch defenders off guard from a difficult angle. In the clip above, the first Raze that dies is completely unaware of the source of the attack, leading to Reyna and Jett falling victim to the same angle.

It’s important to note that this Sage wall works well because Sage is accompanied by teammates who perform solid post-plant setups. The Brimstone smoke serves as cover, allowing Sage to place the aggressive wall without alerting defenders attempting to retake the site.

In theory, an updrafting Jett with her knives out could also use this vent opening, but it is primarily accessible to Sage. However, Sage can boost a teammate up to this angle using her wall, which can be useful for resurrection or strategic use of Slow orbs.

Tricks and angles like this may only work once or twice during a ranked match. However, even if you only successfully use it once, that round will remain memorable for a long time.
