Tex Joins Equinox Esports’ VALORANT Team

Equinox Esports Signs VALORANT Player Tex

Equinox Esports has officially signed VALORANT player Ian “tex” Botsch after a successful tryout during the Nerd Street Gamers’ Winter Championship. Tex will be competing with the team in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour.

Tex’s Performance at the Winter Championship

After releasing Carlo “dcop” Delsol, Equinox brought in tex to compete at the Winter Championship. The team finished fourth in the tournament, defeating Ghost and Cloud9 Blue to qualify for the playoffs. They were eliminated by Luminosity, the eventual champions, and then fell to Andbox in the third-place match.

Tex’s Standout Performance

Even though tex was just a stand-in, he made a significant impact during the Winter Championship. Playing as both Raze and Reyna, he finished second in Average Combat Score, fourth in Average Damage per Round, and tied for second in clutch percentage at 29 percent, according to VLR.gg, a VALORANT stats site.

Tex’s Experience and Impact

Tex is an experienced NA CS:GO player who has competed in both MDL and Mythic Cup. His extensive FPS background brings valuable knowledge and high expectations to Equinox.

“He’s a player that already has a massive amount of skill and game sense, which can be credited to his rich FPS history in CS:GO,” said Equinox competitive director Connor Knudsen. “But, even more importantly, his intangibles set him apart. He communicates effectively, stays positive, and has already made a huge impact on our team’s culture in the short time we’ve trialed him. We believe we’ve struck gold with tex.”
