Teaser Reveals VALORANT’s Latest Ruination Bundle with Phantom, Guardian, Spectre, Ghost, and Blade of the Ruined King

VALORANT Introduces New Skin Bundle Inspired by League of Legends

Riot Games’ popular tactical shooter VALORANT is set to release a new skin bundle that takes inspiration from the world of League of Legends. In an interview with HITSCAN on YouTube, Sean Marino, Riot’s premium content art lead, and Preeti Khanolkar, senior producer, discussed the upcoming Ruination skins.

The collaboration between VALORANT and League of Legends has been in the works for over a year. The bundle includes skins for the Phantom, Guardian, Spectre, Ghost, and melee weapons.

Khanolkar stated, “This [bundle] isn’t just for VALORANT players—it also holds special meaning for League of Legends players with Easter eggs and references.” The Ruination-inspired bundle is reminiscent of champions like Thresh and Viego, capturing their dark and gritty aesthetic.

The base variant of the bundle features a teal color scheme with shadowy, spectral animations. Additionally, players can choose from other color options, including purple, orange, and a friendlier green.

Initially, Riot wanted to keep VALORANT and League of Legends separate. However, they eventually decided to connect the two worlds. Marino explained that they deliberately avoided crossovers early on, except for minor details like the “Tahm Kench bench” on Ascent and the Scuttle crab on Split.

Riot was approached by the League team to create the skin bundle in line with the Ruination event in League of Legends. Marino added, “They wanted us to be part of that and celebrate this momentous event that is unfolding within the League canon.”

The full details of the bundle, including the price, have yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to debut in the VALORANT shop in the coming days.
