Team Liquid secures EMEA’s final spot at Champions, Guild and G2 fall short

Team Liquid secures spot at VALORANT’s end-of-year world championship

Team Liquid has secured a spot at VALORANT’s end-of-year world championship in Berlin, Germany, after a quick and clean 3-1 win against Guild at the EMEA VCT Last Chance Qualifier.

Liquid, who previously missed out on the event due to a lack of circuit points, will join Gambit, Acend, and Fnatic, who placed second and third in the circuit point standings, after Gambit’s victory in Masters Berlin in September.

Despite earning 325 circuit points throughout the year, G2 narrowly missed out on Champions. Their strong performance at Masters Berlin was not enough for the all-star team to qualify.

Guild, who finished ninth in the standings, came close to earning a spot at Champions during the Last Chance Qualifier. They defeated SuperMassive Blaze, Oxygen Esports, Futbolist, and G2, but couldn’t overcome a revitalized Liquid in the finals.

Liquid has seen improvement after integrating Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom into the starting roster, who is the brother of ScreaM. A disappointing run at the EMEA Stage Three: Challengers Playoffs in August served as a wake-up call for the team.

VCT Champions will begin on December 1, with 16 teams competing for the title of VALORANT’s first World Champion.
