Team Liquid Parts Ways with ec1s from VALORANT Roster

Team Liquid Parts Ways with VALORANT Captain ec1s

After almost three months of being on the inactive roster, Team Liquid has announced that they are parting ways with VALORANT captain Adam “ec1s” Eccles.

ec1s’ Dominance in Europe

Last August, ec1s joined Liquid alongside the fish123 roster. This team dominated the European VALORANT scene, winning seven tournaments in just over a month.

Change in Liquid’s Roster

Despite their early success, Liquid struggled to make it to the finals of tournaments. Eventually, they finished second after a 3-2 loss to G2 Esports at Red Bull Home Ground in January. Liquid failed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 Europe Stage One, leading to the decision to replace ec1s.

On Feb. 24, Liquid removed ec1s from the active roster and brought in former ENCE CS:GO player Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen. The current Liquid lineup consists of Dom “soulcas” Sulcas, James “Kryptix” Affleck, Travis “L1NK” Mendoza, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, Jamppi, and coach Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield.

Liquid’s Redemption in Stage Two

Although it took some time for the team to adjust to the new lineup, they eventually qualified for Stage Two of the VALORANT Champions Tour. They finished second in Challengers Two and secured their revenge by defeating Fnatic 3-2 to win the Stage Two Finals.

ec1s Looks for New Opportunities

Following his departure from Liquid, ec1s is actively seeking new opportunities in VALORANT.
