Tarik achieves record-breaking viewership during VALORANT Champions 2023 grand finals

Tarik Hits Personal Best on Twitch During VALORANT Champions 2023 Co-Stream

Tarik, one of Twitch’s most popular VALORANT content creators, achieved a new milestone over the weekend while co-streaming the VALORANT Champions 2023 grand final.

Sitting alongside fellow content creator Disguised Toast, Tarik streamed live from the championship in Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. On August 26, Evil Geniuses emerged victorious over Paper Rex. Throughout the stream, Tarik’s channel experienced a record-breaking peak of 215,600 concurrent viewers, as reported by Sully Gnome.

Although Tarik’s figure fell short of the grand finals’ official broadcast peak of over 307,000 concurrent viewers, it is evident that the alternative of watching esports alongside favorite content creators is highly enjoyable. This trend has even led some creators to establish their own esports organizations.

Over the past two years, Tarik has regularly achieved over 100,000 viewers, both through his VALORANT esports viewing parties and other streams. His previous all-time peak concurrent viewership was on February 24 during a co-stream of the VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo.

While Tarik’s viewership record is impressive, it does not rank among Twitch’s top streams of all time. The top 10 broadcasts in terms of peak viewership have all surpassed one million viewers, with Ibai holding the current record of 3.4 million viewers during their July 1 broadcast this year.
