T1 begins preparation for VCT 2023 season with NA boot camp

T1 VALORANT Players to Practice Against North American Teams Ahead of 2023 Season

The T1 VALORANT players, selected to participate in the APAC international league in 2023, will have the opportunity to practice against top North American teams to sharpen their skills. This decision was revealed by T1 player Ha “Sayaplayer” Jeong-woo during a recent stream. The practice matches are expected to take place before the start of the upcoming season.

Reason behind T1’s Decision

T1, chosen by Riot Games to represent their home region, sees the North American teams as high-quality opponents that will provide valuable practice. By facing off against these teams, T1 hopes to gain an edge and improve their performance in the APAC international league.

T1 player Son “xeta” Seon-ho is currently in South Korea due to personal reasons but is expected to join the team later. He is practicing remotely with the team from South Korea.

While some North American teams, including 100 Thieves, have already started their practice sessions, a few partnered teams are still on a break.

Challengers Circuit and Kick-off Tournament

Although the season is still a few months away for partnered teams, the Challengers teams will soon compete against each other. The Challengers circuit will require teams that were not directly invited to qualify through open brackets.

Next February, the first event for partnered teams will kick off. T1, along with 29 other partnered teams from around the world, has received an invitation to this tournament. The kick-off tournament, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, will feature all teams competing against each other in an exciting three-week event.

Upcoming Matches and Season Start

The kick-off tournament will conclude on March 9, followed by the start of the first split for each of the international leagues on March 26. T1 will face off against other APAC teams based in Seoul, South Korea, during the first split.
