Stewie2K Reveals Exciting Plans for VALORANT in the Coming Year

Former CS:GO Star Stewie2K Determined to Transition into Professional VALORANT

Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, a former professional CS:GO player, has set his sights on becoming a top-tier VALORANT player in the near future. After his removal from Evil Geniuses’ CS:GO roster on July 28, Stewie2K has been dedicating himself to grinding VALORANT on his stream.

In a recent Twitch stream, Stewie2K revealed his plan to spend the upcoming months extensively playing VALORANT to master his skills before Riot introduces franchising in 2023.

Stewie2K stated, “Every day I’ll be on stream, grinding ranked, and trying to get into scrims. As the LCQ and Champions events happen, along with the off-season and franchising, I’ll keep streaming, learning from the game, and hoping to get picked up. We’ll try our best and see how things unfold.”

Despite his underwhelming performance in CS:GO this year with EG, Stewie2K remains one of the most accomplished North American players in esports. He was a crucial member of the Cloud9 roster that secured victory in the ELEAGUE Boston Major in 2018—the only Major an NA team has won in CS:GO. Additionally, he played a vital role in Team Liquid’s success in winning multiple S-tier tournaments in 2019, including the Intel Grand Slam’s $1 million prize.

Whether Stewie2K can achieve his dream of becoming a professional VALORANT player is yet to be seen.
