Sources report that T1 is practicing without Seven.

T1 VALORANT Roster Undergoes Changes Ahead of Champions Tour Stage Two

North American and South Korean organization T1 has made changes to its VALORANT roster, according to sources. Johann “seven” Hernandez is reportedly on his way out, and the team will be exploring new options going forward.

T1 now has several months to practice with a new player before the start of the NA VALORANT Champions Tour Stage Two, which is scheduled to begin on May 5 with an open qualifier.

Earlier this year, T1 did not qualify for the first stage of VCT. In the first open qualifier, the team lost to Rise in the upper bracket, while Rise went on to qualify for the main event.

However, T1’s lower bracket run was filled with controversy. The team’s coach, David “dd8” Denis, was found guilty of illegal communication with the team during a match against TSM. As a result, T1 had to forfeit the match and was disqualified from the first open qualifier. Dd8 was temporarily suspended by the organization.

In the second open qualifier, T1 faced defeats against VIRTUOSO and Cosmic Divide, leading to an early exit from the competition. This meant that T1 was unable to participate in Riot-held events for the next few months.

T1 also competed in the Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2022: February, finishing in the top eight but ultimately falling to Renegades in the quarterfinals.
