Skadoodle to skip upcoming event with T1, focuses on expanding agent pool

Former CSGO Star Skadoodle to Sit Out Weekend Events

T1 VALORANT player Skadoodle announced on Twitter today that he will not be competing in this weekend’s events with his team.

Skadoodle has been on the sidelines for some time now as he focuses on expanding his agent pool. In North America, Skadoodle is considered the star of the team, using his impressive Operator/Jett skills to gain an advantage over opponents. However, his more passive sniper playstyle has resulted in fewer wins for T1.

As a result, Skadoodle will not be participating in the upcoming Flashpoint’s Pop Flash tournament starting on Aug. 26. Although it is unclear who will replace him in future events, coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner has been standing in for Skadoodle and could be the best option for a struggling T1 team that has yet to meet expectations.

T1 was quick to establish their presence in VALORANT by signing their first player, Braxton “brax” Pierce, even before the beta version became available. Their commitment to success in VALORANT was likely influenced by their accomplishments in another Riot title, League of Legends.

Skadoodle is regarded as one of North America’s legends in the world of Counter-Strike. During his time with Cloud9, he achieved victory in the 2018 ELeague Boston Major, making them the first North American team to win a CS Major. Although his playstyle may not align with VALORANT’s current meta, his raw skill could still lead to success in another game.
