Sinatraa’s VALORANT suspension concludes after 6 months

Jay “Sinatraa” Won’s Suspension Ends, Free to Compete in VALORANT Esports

The six-month suspension of Jay “Sinatraa” Won, player for the Sentinels team, has expired, allowing him to compete in VALORANT esports again. The suspension was imposed by Riot Games after he failed to fully cooperate with their investigation into sexual assault allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Cleo Hernandez.

During the investigation, Won violated Rule 8.1 of the VALORANT Global Competition Policy and was officially suspended in May. However, he started serving the suspension on March 10. The policy states that the Tournament Operator has the right to monitor compliance and investigate possible breaches.

By agreeing to the Global Policy, every team member, including Won, commits to cooperating with the Tournament Operator in any internal or external investigation related to violations. They have a duty to tell the truth, not obstruct the investigation, mislead investigators, or withhold evidence.

No new details emerged during the investigation, and therefore, the suspension was not extended. Won, however, misrepresented facts and made false statements twice during the investigation. Despite the allegations, Won remains a part of the Sentinels organization, but he has been on their inactive roster since March. Tyson “TenZ” Ngo took his place and has become a key player for the team, helping them secure victories in multiple championships, including VCT Masters Two Berlin in May.

Though it is unclear if Sinatraa will return to professional VALORANT play, there are already teams showing interest in signing him, as reported by George Geddes from Upcomer.
