Sinatraa Releases Statement after Receiving a 6-Month Suspension from VALORANT Competition

Sentinel’s Pro Sinatraa Responds to Six-Month Suspension from VALORANT

Riot has suspended Jay “Sinatraa” Won, a pro player from VALORANT, for six months due to his failure to fully cooperate in the investigation of sexual assault allegations made by his ex-girlfriend. Sinatraa has now issued a response.

In a statement on Twitter, the pro player acknowledged that he has spent the past two months reflecting on his actions and striving to become a better person. He admitted his mistake of not providing the complete audio and video evidence mentioned in the original accusations, which led to his violation of rule 8.1 of the Global Competition Policy and subsequent suspension.

“After our relationship ended, she asked me to delete the video, and I respected her request,” Sinatraa explained. “Confused about what to do next, I sought legal help immediately. As we were preparing an update with the legal PR team, we included the promise to provide the video because we believed it was crucial to the investigation. Unfortunately, I was unable to personally deliver on that promise.”

Suspension Impact and Apology

Sinatraa has already completed two months of his six-month suspension and will be able to participate in the VCT Last Chance Qualifiers and Champions after September 10. However, Riot retains the right to reopen the investigation if additional information surfaces.

In conclusion, the pro player expressed his regret and apologized to anyone he may have let down or hurt.

“Hence, I now have an additional 4 months away from competitive play to focus on developing better interpersonal skills and regaining the trust of the community,” Sinatraa stated.
