Shroud’s VALORANT Team Dominates Opening Match in NA VCT Stage Three Challengers Two Open Qualifier

The highly popular Twitch streamer, shroud, made a triumphant return to competition as his VALORANT team, What’s going on, easily won their first-round match in the NA VCT Stage Three Challengers Two open qualifier. They secured a convincing victory of 13-6 on Haven and 13-4 on Bind against Damn I Love Fwogs.

Shroud, using the newest VALORANT agent, KAY/O, performed exceptionally well with 11 kills and 10 deaths on Haven. He utilized KAY/O utility for an impressive 12 assists, achieving the highest number of assists on the server. Additionally, he won all of his opening-round fights, securing four first bloods. ShawnBM, a prominent VALORANT content creator, led the way as Cypher with 24 kills and only eight deaths.

On Bind, shroud cleverly utilized Omen, earning 16 kills, six assists, and 11 deaths. Former CS:GO pro, Laski, stepped up for What’s going on on this map, securing 20 kills as Raze and impressive stats, including a 308 ACS and a 32% headshot percentage.

A few weeks prior to the start of the open qualifier, shroud announced his intention to compete in the final qualifier for VCT. The team lineup was revealed shortly before the event, consisting of shroud, ShawnBM, Laski, former Cloud9 player Relyks, and Apex Legends pro and content creator, iiTzTimmy.

During his stream, shroud emphasized that the team’s primary focus is having fun and that this return to competition does not indicate a full-time commitment. Nonetheless, shroud’s fans are delighted to see him and his team achieve a strong start, and the possibility of a comeback cannot be completely disregarded. They will face off against ez5 in their next match after ez5’s victory over Last Resistance.
