Shroud suggests VALORANT is more user-friendly with reduced visual map distractions

Why VALORANT Feels Easier to Play Than Other FPS Games, According to Shroud

Players who have had the chance to play Riot Games’ new FPS game, VALORANT, have been saying that it feels easier to play compared to other games in the same genre. Shroud, a popular streamer, believes that the reason behind this is the lack of visual distractions on the map.

During a recent stream, Shroud mentioned that while VALORANT is similar to CS (Counter-Strike), CS is more distracting due to the presence of numerous objects and distractions on the map. In VALORANT, there are no unnecessary elements on the walls or elsewhere that could catch your eye, making the agents more visible and easier to target.

Shroud made a comparison with CS 1.6, the predecessor of CS: Source and CS: GO. He explained that in 1.6, there were minimal map accents, allowing the character models to stand out from the background and enabling players to quickly aim at enemies. In contrast, CS: GO has various map accents that add depth but can also be distracting, making it harder for players to take down enemies swiftly.

It’s worth noting that VALORANT is still in beta, so the game’s final release this summer might feature some changes. However, based on what we’ve seen so far, things look promising for Riot’s venture into the world of FPS.
