Shroud claims VALORANT has a significantly lower skill ceiling compared to Counter-Strike.

Shroud Doesn’t Think Highly of VALORANT

Famous streamer Shroud recently shared his thoughts on VALORANT, comparing it to Counter-Strike. According to him, the skill ceiling and potential in VALORANT are lower compared to Counter-Strike.

Shroud strongly favors Counter-Strike, stating that while there may be a skill cap, it is so high that sometimes you don’t even need to use your brain. This kind of gameplay is not present in VALORANT.

VALORANT is more targeted towards casual players who haven’t played a first-person shooter before, according to Shroud. He explains that the game is not as punishing as Counter-Strike and that the movement and aiming mechanics are simplified. The inclusion of abilities further narrows the skill gap between high and low-level players.

Despite his criticisms, Shroud has enjoyed his time playing VALORANT. He does, however, point out that certain aspects of the game, like using abilities to gain an advantage, cater to less skilled players.

In the end, Shroud acknowledges that Riot has deliberately created a more accessible first-person shooter experience with VALORANT, similar to Counter-Strike.
