Shopify Rebellion’s Newest Addition Could Drive the Team to Ascension in the VALORANT Challengers League
After an impressive performance at the Game Changers Championship, Shopify Rebellion’s main roster is now setting their sights on success in the NA VALORANT Challengers League. The team’s newest member, Victor “v1c” Truong, has the potential to shine as a rising star.
V1c joined the Shopify Rebellion roster in November, coming from T1 Academy and SoaR. In his debut event with the team, the BoomTV VALORANT Select, v1c’s versatility across different agents and roles played a crucial role in the team’s first-place finish.
V1c’s versatility was evident in the Knights VALORANT Freezeout tournament, where they faced tough competition from teams like Oxygen and TSM. V1c performed exceptionally well, leading the team in kills during the semifinals against Oxygen and the grand finals against TSM.
Against Oxygen, v1c made a significant impact on the game playing as Astra on Bind, achieving 22 kills, only eight deaths, and providing nine assists with smart utility usage. They sealed the victory in style with a Reyna 4k and defuse. V1c also showcased mental fortitude in the grand finals against TSM, bouncing back from a challenging game as Brimstone to excel on Omen and Viper.
While v1c’s best performances so far have come on controller agents, they have also proven their proficiency on different agents and roles. In the two months since joining Shopify, v1c has played a total of nine different agents across the two tournaments they have won.
Players like 100T’s Sean “bang” Bezerra are a prime example of the value that players like v1c can bring to a team. At just 17 years old, v1c already has a deep understanding of the game and consistently delivers impactful rounds. As they continue to grow and settle into their primary role within the team, v1c will only become better.
