Shopify Rebellion recruits experienced esports player bENITA for VALORANT roster

Shopify Rebellion Signs Veteran Benita “bENITA” Novshadian to Its VALORANT Roster

Shopify Rebellion has made a significant addition to its VALORANT roster by signing veteran player Benita “bENITA” Novshadian, who has experience in both CS:GO and VALORANT, the organization announced today.

Back in March, bENITA decided to make a change and depart from CLG Red, where she had been for seven years and competed in both CS:GO and VALORANT. While playing VALORANT with CLG Red, her team achieved moderate success in the VCT Game Changers tournament’s first year. Her departure from CLG Red was driven by her desire for personal growth.

On Twitter, bENITA stated, “The decision to step down came at a specific point in my life where I realized change is needed for growth. I have an overwhelming desire to continue being the best player I can be & I’m using it as a catalyst for my future.”

Now, bENITA will join Shopify Rebellion, a team that has been steadily closing in on Cloud9 White. Cloud9 White has won every VCT Game Changers NA tournament they have participated in. With bENITA on the roster, Cloud9 White’s reign is at risk in the upcoming VCT Game Changers NA tournament, which is scheduled to begin its main event on July 7.

The addition of bENITA completes Shopify Rebellion’s roster, which also includes players Kayla “flowerful” Horton, Diana “sonder” Zhang, Kiana “KP” Lytle, and Lorrian “Lorri” Elad. Han “it not han” Nguyen departed for CLG Red in March, and Vannesa “panini” Emory was released from the team.

Before transitioning to VALORANT, bENITA was a founding member of CLG Red’s women’s CS:GO team. She was also one of the first members of the VALORANT team when CLG Red began competing in that title. She is highly respected in the esports community and has earned first place in nine different tournaments.

The next VCT Game Changers NA tournament will commence with open qualifiers on June 30. The open qualifiers will run until July 3, and the teams that qualify will advance to the main event, where they can earn points for the global tournament later this year. The main event is scheduled from July 7 to 10.
