Sentinels’ VALORANT Pro Zellsis Faces Twitch Ban Amid Denials of Wrongdoing

VALORANT Pro Zellsis Banned on Twitch for Alleged Hateful Slurs

VALORANT pro Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro has been banned on Twitch for allegedly using hateful slurs, an allegation he has since denied.

Zellsis immediately shared the news of his suspension on Aug. 17 and expressed his shock on Twitter, sparking a furor.

However, Zellsis had not been personally informed of the ban at that point.

Shortly after, he received an email from Twitch explaining the reason for the ban. It was reportedly for the alleged use of hate speech, which Zellsis denied.

Zellsis stated, “I got banned for ‘hateful slurs or symbols,’ but I assume it was for saying fuck it, and Twitch took it as me saying the other F word.” He was referring to a homophobic slur.

He also clarified that the ban was not due to being shirtless or streaming anime.

To defend himself, Zellsis shared a clip that he believes Twitch is referring to, hoping to prove his innocence. However, there doesn’t appear to be any wrongdoing in that clip, though Twitch may be referring to something else.

Zellsis’s fans have shown their support by trending #FreeZellsis on social media, which he acknowledged and shared, hoping it will influence Twitch to overturn the ban.

As of now, the ban remains in effect. We will provide updates on the outcome of this situation.

In the worst-case scenario, Zellsis may serve a temporary sentence, likely lasting several days.
