Sentinels Make Roster Changes for VCT Americas Season Opener
Sentinels made significant changes to their roster compositions for their first match of the Americas season following their disappointing performance at LOCK//IN. The team switched Sacy from initiator to controller, pANcada to Killjoy, and dephh to Breach, resulting in a different dynamic for the team. Despite some early struggles on attack, Sentinels managed to find success on defense and secure the win against 100 Thieves.
Fracture Map: Sentinels Come Out on Top
The match on Fracture started with Sentinels adapting to their new composition. While they faced challenges countering the aggressive plays from 100 Thieves on attack, the opposing team eventually gave them the opportunity to strategize and execute their plans. Zekken and TenZ played pivotal roles on Raze and Jett, leading Sentinels to victory with a 13-11 score.

Split Map: 100 Thieves Push Sentinels to Overtime
The second map, Split, followed a similar pattern to Fracture. Sentinels took the lead in the first half on defense, with Sacy switching to Sage this time. As the match went down to the wire with an 11-11 tie, Zekken made a significant play with three kills and an assist, but 100 Thieves managed to force overtime. In the end, 100 Thieves claimed the map with two rounds of overtime, setting the stage for the final map, Ascent.

Ascent Map: Sentinels Secure Victory
The third and final map, Ascent, was a closely contested battle. Although Sentinels struggled on defense in the first half, with zekken having a tough game on Sova, they managed to gain momentum on attack after a strong performance from TenZ. While they faced difficulties in post-plant situations, Sentinels secured three crucial rounds to force overtime. Finally, with TenZ leading the charge, Sentinels claimed victory with a final score of 14-12.
These roster changes within the Sentinels camp mark a historic shift in their dynamics. Notably, Sacy played a non-initiator role for the first time since joining LOUD, and pANcada showcased his versatility by playing Killjoy for the first time.
Sentinels will face NRG in their next big test, while 100 Thieves will take on Evil Geniuses.
