Sentinels recruits 2 esteemed coaches to revamp VALORANT lineup

Sentinels to Acquire New Staff Members for VALORANT Roster Revamp

North American organization Sentinels is planning to revamp its VALORANT roster by acquiring multiple staff members, according to sources familiar with the matter. The team is actively working on finalizing the roster with the addition of two experienced coaches.

Don “SyykoNT” Muir, the former coach of XSET, will join Sentinels as the head coach. He will be joined by Adam Kaplan, the former coach of Ghost Gaming, who will take on the role of strategic coach. Both coaches are collaborating with players to solidify the revamped roster.

As of now, the Sentinels roster is still incomplete.

Although Sentinels is actively involved in the market, several deals have yet to be finalized. However, it is expected that the full roster will be completed in the near future. It is unlikely that both Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan will be a part of the starting roster next year, as their contracts are set to expire at the end of this year according to a report by .

SyykoNT gained recognition during his time with XSET, where the team participated in the highly anticipated VCT Champions event last month. Under the leadership of SyykoNT and in-game leader Rory “dephh” Jackson, XSET achieved a top-six finish in the tournament.

XSET’s journey in the tournament came to an end with defeats against former Masters champions OpTic Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix.

On the other hand, Kaplan was a top choice for Sentinels even before the acquisition of former FaZe Clan player Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty. Kaplan made notable strides with the Ghost team during his coaching tenure, including a second-place finish in the group stage of VCT NA Stage Two Challengers in June.
