Sentinels allegedly secures TenZ in a substantial buyout from Cloud9

Sentinels Acquires VALORANT Star TenZ from Cloud9 in Seven-Figure Deal

According to a report by Kevin Hitt of The Esports Observer, Sentinels has acquired VALORANT star Tyson “TenZ” Ngo from Cloud9 in a deal worth around seven figures. The loan contract between C9 and Sentinels included an option for Sentinels to buy out the contract, which they have reportedly exercised.

TenZ’s Impressive Performance at VCT Masters Two Reykjavik

This buyout news comes just days after Sentinels emerged victorious at the VCT Masters Two Reykjavik LAN event. TenZ played exceptionally well for Sentinels, leading the entire field of players in average combat score and kill-death ratio.

TenZ’s Journey to Sentinels

TenZ joined the Sentinels roster in March as a substitute player after Jay “sinatraa” Won was suspended. Although TenZ had previously played competitively with C9, he temporarily stepped back to focus on content creation. Since joining Sentinels, the team has achieved impressive victories, including winning NA Masters One, the NA Challengers Finals for Stage Two, and VCT Masters Two.

Positive Responses and Confirmation

After Sentinels’ win in Iceland, C9 owner Jack Etienne expressed his happiness with TenZ’s rise in value. He tweeted a GIF with the caption “money in the bank” and wished TenZ the best of luck on Sentinels. Sentinels also seemingly confirmed the report with a simple tweet stating, “He’s here to stay.”
