ScreaM dominates Oxygen Esports, guarantees Liquid VALORANT a spot in Masters Two Iceland

Liquid Dominates Oxygen Esports in VALORANT EMEA Challengers Finals

In a showcase of their outstanding form, Team Liquid emerged victorious in the EMEA Challengers Finals, securing their spot at the first international LAN in Iceland. This win marks their 11th victory in their last 12 series, with their semifinals win over Oxygen Esports being particularly impressive.

The standout player for Liquid was Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, who delivered a legendary performance on Ascent. With an impressive record of 20 kills and only four deaths on Sage, ScreaM’s dominance was evident in the 13-0 blowout on Haven, Oxygen’s map pick. The entire Liquid team played phenomenally, winning crucial duels and not giving up a single round.

Oxygen managed to secure the opening pistol round on Liquid’s map pick, Ascent. However, Liquid quickly turned the tides, winning eight consecutive rounds and establishing a commanding 10-2 lead at halftime. Liquid’s dominance continued in the second half, with a lead of 12-2 before Oxygen managed to win another round. Ultimately, Liquid closed out the series with a dominant 13-3 victory.

Despite underperforming in the first VALORANT Champions Tour stage, Liquid showcased their exceptional skills in this tournament. They failed to qualify for any of the three Challengers main events in stage one. However, after spending some time practicing with former CS:GO pro Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen, they seem to have reached a whole new level.

Their victory in the EMEA Challengers Finals secures their spot at Masters Two. Liquid will now compete in the grand final against either Fnatic or Gambit, with a chance to emerge as the ultimate champions.
