Improving your VALORANT Gameplay: Tips and Tools

To win more matches in VALORANT, it takes practice, dedication, and focus. From improving aim to mastering callouts, there are many ways to climb the ranks in Riot Games’ FPS.

Unfortunately, VALORANT does not currently have a native replay feature. However, according to VALORANT’s dev lead Anna Donlon, the replay feature is being developed along with other updates. So, players can expect improvements in the future.

Does VALORANT have a replay system?

As of now, VALORANT does not have a native replay system. Players cannot download replays of their recent matches in VALORANT.

However, Anna Donlon mentioned on Twitter that there are plans to introduce replays, new server locations, and mode updates. Unfortunately, no specific details or dates have been shared yet.

In the meantime, players have a few alternative methods to save their replays. Here are the best options:

Nvidia Instant Replay

Nvidia Shadowplay is a recording tool that allows players with Nvidia graphics cards to record their gameplay. It includes a sub-function called Instant Replay.

If you have Nvidia Experience on your PC, simply launch VALORANT and press Alt + Z to bring up the Nvidia overlay. From there, enable the Instant Replay setting and set the recording length. Keep in mind that Instant Replay caps at 20 minutes, while a typical VALORANT match lasts around 30-to-40 minutes.

By pressing Alt+F10, you can access the replay of the last 20 minutes or your desired duration.

Other Recording Methods

You don’t need an Nvidia GPU to record your VALORANT gameplay. OBS, RECentral 4, and Radeon ReLive are alternative game-recording software options that provide sufficient resources for recording in VALORANT.

Are there downsides to recording your VALORANT gameplay?

Recording programs use system resources, which can affect your PC’s performance and FPS. The impact will depend on your PC’s internals. High-end gaming PCs with the latest hardware will experience minimal reduction, but budget or lower-end PCs may notice a significant difference.
