Riot resolves Jett bugs in VALORANT Patch 3.08 rollout

Jett Changes in VALORANT Patch 3.07 Fixed

The Riot Games VALORANT team has announced that the bugged changes to Jett, which were accidentally implemented with Patch 3.07, have now been fixed.

Surprising Nerfs to Jett in Patch 3.08

In the release of Patch 3.08 on Oct. 20, fans of Jett were surprised to see significant nerfs applied to the popular aerial duelist. When using Updraft with her ultimate set of knives equipped, the knives would come out much slower than usual. Additionally, it took longer to re-equip a weapon after using Taildash, and the cost of Updraft was increased.

Hotfix Implemented to Resolve Issues

Riot Games acknowledged on Twitter that these changes were unintended and were considered bugs. However, they were not severe enough from a competitive integrity perspective to risk redeploying the Patch. Therefore, the issues were expected to be fixed in Patch 3.09. However, Riot has now implemented a hotfix to address these problems before the unofficial “patch day” on Tuesdays.

Debate Surrounding Jett Nerfs

The discussion about a potential Jett rework or nerf has been popular among both casual and competitive VALORANT fans. This is due to the overwhelming presence of the agent on almost all maps in esports events. Some people even celebrated the unintentional changes initially, although Jett fans were certainly not part of that group.

It remains uncertain whether Riot will reintroduce these changes if they decide to nerf Jett in the future or if they will take a different approach to balancing the agent.
