Riot proceeds with Yoru release despite minor voice line bug

VALORANT’s Newest Agent, Yoru, to Release with Minor Bug

Gamers are no strangers to dealing with bugs and performance issues when new characters are released. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Yoru, the latest agent in VALORANT, will have a minor bug upon release.

Riot Games tweeted today that they have noticed “a small number of Yoru’s VO lines only playing in English.” While this bug is not ideal, the developer has decided to proceed with Yoru’s debut, as they want players to experience the new duelist.

Bugs and Overpowered Abilities Plague New Agents in VALORANT

Similar to the introduction of new champions in League of Legends, new agents in VALORANT often come with their fair share of bugs and overpowered abilities. For instance, Killjoy’s Turret has caused unintended chaos, and even some of the original agents can perform actions that Riot did not anticipate.

On January 9, Riot officially revealed Yoru, providing details about his abilities and the inspiration behind his creation. Yoru will be the 15th agent in the game and the first from Japan.

Yoru’s Release Marks the Beginning of Episode Two, Act One

Yoru’s arrival is a significant part of Episode Two, Act One, which also features a new battle pass. Players will have from January 12 to March 1 to complete all tiers of the battle pass.
