Riot postpones VALORANT Patch 6.02 due to PBE issue

VALORANT Patch 6.02 Delayed by a Week, New Release Date on Feb. 7

Riot Games has announced that VALORANT players will have to wait an additional week for the next major game update. Patch 6.02, originally scheduled for Jan. 31, has been pushed back to Feb. 7. This delay is due to an issue with access to the Public Beta Environment (PBE) that forced Riot to adjust the release schedule.

The PBE is an early access version of VALORANT that a limited number of players can use to test new patches and updates. Typically, PBE sessions take place over a weekend, allowing players to identify bugs and assess stability before the official release. However, the PBE session for the 6.02 update, originally planned for Jan. 21-22, had to be canceled due to an unknown issue preventing Riot from opening the PBE. The new start date for the PBE session is Feb. 3 at 6pm CT.

With the rescheduled PBE session and the new patch release date, the VALORANT team at Riot will have less time than usual to address any bugs or stability issues. Despite this, the previous 6.01 patch successfully resolved several bugs, including issues found on the latest map, Lotus.

In addition, Patch 6.03 is set to be released on Feb. 14, one week after Patch 6.02.

Stay tuned for more updates on VALORANT and its upcoming patches!
