Riot Implements Hotfix for Omen Exploit on Icebox in VALORANT

Riot Games Implements Hotfix for Game-Breaking Glitch in VALORANT

Riot Games is addressing a critical glitch in VALORANT that allowed Omen to teleport below the Icebox map. This glitch gave players an unfair advantage by providing information on the enemy team and allowing them to attack undetected.

Recently, players discovered a bug that enabled Omen to teleport beneath B Kitchen on Icebox using his ultimate ability, From the Shadows. Once beneath the map, players had a clear view of B spawn, mid, and the lane leading to B site. Omen could also teleport back to safety using his Shrouded Step ability.

Omen’s abilities have caused problems in other maps before as well. In the past, players could exploit Omen’s Dark Cover ability to see through walls, and he could even teleport into walls. Although these issues were eventually resolved, players continue to discover new ways to abuse Omen’s powers.

Omen is widely favored by VALORANT players and has recently dominated the pick rates at the VALORANT Renegades x NSG Invitational. In skilled hands, he becomes an incredibly deadly Agent, and the existence of these glitches and exploits only amplifies his destructive potential.

The hotfix to address this glitch will be released at 6 pm CT in all regions. Additionally, Riot plans to release another hotfix later this week to resolve the issue of micro-stutters that have been affecting a large portion of the playerbase.
