Riot hints at the arrival of a new avian VALORANT agent debuting in Act III on Oct. 27

VALORANT Act III Introduces New Map, Delayed Agent Release

Good news for VALORANT fans as Act III brings a new map to the game. However, there’s a small trade-off.

According to a recent blog post by Riot, the release of the bird-wielding agent will be delayed until Oct. 27, two weeks after Act III goes live. This delay is to ensure the stability of the huge patch before the agent’s debut.

Riot acknowledges that recent patches have had stability issues, hence the decision to delay the new agent’s release. This allows them to address any potential issues that may arise with Patch 1.10.

In an unexpected move, Riot has moved up the release of the new map, Icebox, originally planned for episode two. The aim is to optimize all current agents in the new map before introducing any additional variables.

Riot has also given a sneak peek of the new agent’s appearance through a picture, along with several new skins and cosmetics to be released in Act III. While her ability kit remains a mystery, the presence of a bird on her shoulder suggests she may use animals as part of her gameplay. The VALORANT Twitter account also teased a forest-dwelling fox-like creature, which could be tied to the new agent’s abilities.
