Riot hints at the arrival of a diverse Agent 22 in upcoming VALORANT update

Riot Games Teases New Relaxing Agent Coming to VALORANT

Riot Games has given a sneak peek of the new agent that will be introduced to VALORANT this year in a more laid-back manner than expected.

John Goscicki, senior game producer for Riot’s FPS, announced today that a more relaxed agent will be joining the game in 2023, after the release of some “super aggressive” agents.

In addition to the plan of releasing three agents this year, Riot will also be introducing Agent 22 into the VALORANT Protocol. This new agent will bring a more creative element to the game with their “eclectic” approach in achieving objectives. As Goscicki mentioned, players can expect “new ways to check corners” and “get onto locations” around the map.

Players might speculate that Agent 22 possesses a teleportation ability, but the most intriguing aspect is the potential introduction of a new method for planting the spike. Although Riot has not provided further details, the teaser image for the new agent, along with cryptic wording from Goscicki, has sparked speculation.

In a video, Goscicki discusses how intense the battlefield in VALORANT can be and how players often need some “friends” to relax with as they secure a path to the next site. It’s possible that one of these “friends” could be introduced from the VALORANT universe alongside the new agent, as the teaser image for Agent 22 shows two clawed hands reaching for a boba cup on the left side.

VALORANT players will need to stay tuned for more information on Agent 22 and the unique ways they will enhance their gameplay experience.
