Riot Games’ Servers for VALORANT and League of Legends Encounter Technical Difficulties

VALORANT Closed Beta Launches with Technical Issues Affecting Riot Games

The highly anticipated closed beta launch of VALORANT has hit some major roadblocks on its first day, causing disruptions not only for VALORANT beta players but also for League of Legends enthusiasts.

Launching Difficulties Reported by Users

Multiple users have complained about difficulties launching both the VALORANT beta and League of Legends. The client is either slow to respond or completely unresponsive for some players.

Some players who manage to launch VALORANT are greeted with the above error message. Error Code: 7 indicates a failure to connect to the session service, according to Riot.

Issues Arise During Twitch Rivals Tournament

Coinciding with the closed beta launch, a Twitch Rivals VALORANT tournament featuring popular streamers is underway. Unfortunately, participants are also grappling with the technical problems.

In addition, League of Legends players are experiencing issues such as “Chat Issues,” “Match History Maintenance,” and a service quality notice explaining the impact of increased web traffic on gameplay. The latter two problems have persisted for several days.

Some players have also reported that their friend list is missing from the client’s right side.

Keep an eye out for further updates as more information becomes available.

Update: April 7, 6:52pm CT: Riot has acknowledged the “Riot wide server/login issues” and is actively working on resolving them.
