VALORANT Teases Potential New Map with Beach Theme
Riot Games is dropping hints about a possible new map in VALORANT, and it looks like players could soon be enjoying a beach vacation. With summer just around the corner, the game’s maps are now adorned with posters, magazines, and flyers showcasing a sunny beach scene. The teasers mention “visit Breeze,” indicating that a new map might be on the horizon.
Signs Pointing Towards a Sixth Map
Various in-game locations feature these beach-themed clues. Large posters can be found on Bind’s B Long and Split’s A Main, while Icebox’s Kitchen has a flyer and magazine. Haven’s Sewers also contains a magazine, with potentially more hidden throughout the game. This, coupled with previous discoveries made by data miners, suggests that a new map is indeed in the works. Valorant Express uncovered tropical-themed loading music in the game’s files, while lore enthusiast Cynprel theorized that the codename “Foxtrot,” also found in the files, could be a placeholder for the upcoming map.
Easter Eggs and Pranks
Riot Games often includes Easter eggs in their battle pass to tease upcoming content. The current battle pass for this act features a player card at Tier 48 called “Lost at Sea?” that showcases a cargo ship sailing in the night. The Mango Tango gun buddy at Tier 23 is adorned with a tropical fruit design, and players can earn the Old Salt gun buddy, which is a pirate hat to be placed on a weapon of their choice. On April Fools’ Day, the community was briefly pranked with a phony dating simulator featuring sunny island scenery in the background of Cypher’s image.
When Can We Expect the New Map?
Riot Games has yet to confirm the release of the new map. However, considering that Episode Two, Act Two is set to end in 13 days, it’s possible that the tropical map will make its debut soon.
