Riot collaborates with NODWIN Gaming to establish VALORANT Conquerors Championship for Indian and South Asian teams

Riot Games and NODWIN Gaming Partner to Create VALORANT Conquerors Championship

Riot Games has teamed up with South Asian esports company NODWIN Gaming to introduce the VALORANT Conquerors Championship. This tournament, designed for teams from India and South Asia, offers an additional path to the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour.

As part of the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour, the Conquerors Championship will serve as a qualifier for the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers. Teams will have the opportunity to compete in multiple subregional qualifiers for a chance to win a $33,000 prize pool. The registration process will begin on Tuesday, June 15.

VALORANT’s popularity in the region has inspired numerous grassroots tournaments and prompted fans to seek entry into the global esports circuit. The Conquerors Championship bridges the gap, providing aspiring pro players with a pathway to the international stage.

NODWIN co-founder Akshat Rathee expressed his excitement, stating, “This is a great opportunity for the entire VALORANT ecosystem in South Asia to catapult itself to stardom. A representation in the Last Chance Qualifier is well-deserved, considering the community’s richness and the buzz it has generated over the past year. Together with Riot Games, we have built this ladder that connects South Asia to the global roadmap of VALORANT esports.”

Qualifiers and Path to Championships

The VALORANT Conquerors Championship features six qualifiers in the following regions:

  1. India
  2. Pakistan and Afghanistan
  3. Sri Lanka and the Maldives
  4. Bangladesh
  5. Nepal and Bhutan
  6. Wildcard

Each qualifier will have a set number of slots filled through registrations. Online qualifying matches will follow, with the qualified teams progressing to the playoffs. The grand finals will determine the champion, who will then move on to the APAC Last Chance Qualifier. This step involves facing teams from Southeast Asia, Korea, and Japan. The final winner of the Last Chance Qualifier will earn a spot in the prestigious VALORANT Champions Tour, where they will battle against the best teams in the world.
