Riot chooses Toast as the covert VALORANT agent for their Catalyst initiative

Streamer Disguised Toast receives a unique VALORANT Cypher statue as a reward from Riot Games

Disguised Toast, a popular streamer and esports organization owner, has gained attention in the VALORANT scene since forming a team to compete in VCT. Riot Games has now shown appreciation for the team’s impact by awarding Toast a special, Toast-themed Cypher statue. The statue, designed by Moya Garrison Msingwana, marks the start of Riot’s Catalyst project.

The Catalyst project: Interpreting future inspirations into modern culture

The Catalyst project aims to translate future inspirations into modern cultural pieces. The Toast-themed Cypher statue is the first outcome of this project, which began in late June. Riot Games plans to continue the project in the future.

The Cypher statue features the face of the Disguised Toast logo, with the iconic piece of bread wearing sunglasses and a mustache. It sits on a box that cleverly resembles a non-active Cyber Cage. Toast expressed his admiration for the statue’s beauty and shared a video showcasing his collaboration with the artist.

Cypher chosen for Toast’s strategic nature

Toast’s strategic nature, honed from games like Hearthstone and Teamfight Tactics, influenced the choice of Cypher for the statue. The creation process took approximately one month, with Msingwana bringing the design to life.

After personally experiencing the Catalyst project’s result, Toast shared what it means to him and the VALORANT community. He stated in a Twitter video, “It’s not just being a player anymore. It’s now being a team owner and trying to make an impact that’s bigger than myself. This Catalyst sculpture is a great reflection of that.”
