Riot assures remedy for VALORANT UI overhaul in Patch 5.10

Riot’s VALORANT Patch 5.08 Brings New Agent and UI Changes

Riot’s latest patch for VALORANT, Patch 5.08, introduced a new agent and made significant user interface (UI) updates. The new agent, Harbor, brings water-bending abilities to the tactical shooter. Alongside this addition, Riot made changes to the main menu, lobby, pre-game, and end-game screens.

The goal of these UI updates was to declutter the screen and bring more focus to player cards. While the visual improvements were welcome, one aspect of the changes did not sit well with fans.

Due to the changes, navigating through the menus now requires additional steps. Players expressed their discontent with the extra effort needed to switch between pages. Responding to feedback, Riot has decided to address this issue.

“We understand that the updated navigation scheme may add more steps than desired,” wrote Riot member RiotZulu on the VALORANT subreddit. “In Patch 5.10, we will be implementing a change that will restore the convenient one-click access to menus until we can develop a better long-term navigation update.”

This upcoming update will allow VALORANT players to switch between their career page, collection, and lobby with a single click.

RiotZulu also emphasized that these UI changes are just the first step in a larger process to enhance the game’s motion design and visuals. Some of these updates may be released before the end of the year.
