Riot addresses Sova Recon Bolt glitch with a fix in VALORANT

Riot Games Fixes VALORANT Glitch That Allowed Players to Ride on Sova’s Recon Bolt

Riot Games has successfully resolved the well-known glitch in VALORANT that allowed players to ride on Sova’s Recon Bolt. This bug was caused by a simple error in selecting an option from a drop-down box. Riot developer Riot Nu stated that the fix was straightforward and players should no longer encounter enemies using the Recon Bolt as a means of transportation.

Missed by Some, Fixed for Others

While the glitch provided some players with an unexpected advantage, allowing them to ride Sova’s Recon Bolt into enemy territory and catch opponents off guard, it is no longer possible. Some players also discovered that shooting the arrow at the ground and timing their jump correctly allowed them to self-boost. However, mastering this technique was difficult and risked wasting the Recon Bolt.

More Bugs to Be Addressed

VALORANT still has a few bugs that could affect the competitive integrity of matches and will likely be fixed in future updates. For example, there is a bug causing KAY/O to have over 800 health, and players have found a way to clip through A Window on Ascent without breaking the glass. Though these glitches may not be as entertaining as riding on the Recon Bolt, Riot should prioritize addressing them.

The Fun of Fortnite-Style Rocket Riding in VALORANT

Despite the fix, many players enjoyed the chance to experience the Fortnite-style rocket riding in VALORANT. However, it is best that riding the Recon Bolt remains limited to a fun feature in a special game mode and not in regular matches.
