Revealing the Uncharted Territories of VALORANT: Explore the Limits of a Match

VALORANT Matches have a Time Limit, Redditor Discovers

A recent finding by a Redditor has revealed that matches in VALORANT have a time limit, and if reached, players will be kicked from the lobby.

On the official VALORANT Reddit, a user named Jaded_JacobTTV shared their discovery about the game disconnecting all players at a certain point. In a ranked match that went to 46 rounds on the Bind map, both teams reached 23 rounds each before getting disconnected. It was initially believed to be related to the map count, but it seems to be more connected to the time instead.

According to Jaded_JacobTTV, the match lasted for 90 minutes. Other Reddit users in the comments also confirmed that this is the maximum length of a VALORANT match. This aligns with Jaded_JacobTTV’s previous experience of a match ending at 24-24 before disconnecting, further supporting the theory that time is the determining factor rather than the number of rounds.

In ranked mode, a draw typically results in players receiving a small amount of ranked rating (RR) that can be positive or negative depending on individual performance. However, in the shared screenshot by Jaded_JacobTTV, it appears that no RR was gained or lost. This raises the question of whether a match ending in disconnect will award any RR. Nevertheless, Jaded_JacobTTV’s match definitely went the distance.
