Riot Games Confirms the Return of Bind to Competitive Queues in VALORANT
Good news for ranked VALORANT players! Bind, one of the classic maps in the game, is making a comeback to competitive queues, as confirmed by Riot Games. Bind will be reintroduced in Patch 6.08, scheduled to release next month. However, players can expect several changes to the map that will require them to adjust their playstyles and strategies.
What to Expect with the Return of Bind in Competitive Queue
According to VALORANT’s official Twitter account, Bind will be back at the start of Act III. The A site is receiving a major makeover compared to the B site. One of the most significant changes is the relocation of the A teleporter room, moving it from its previous corner to a new location next to the entrance of A showers.
In addition to the teleporter room relocation, the A site will feature a new triple box layout instead of the previous three even squares in the center. This elongated section will provide players with more maneuvering space and strategic opportunities whether they’re defending or attacking the site.
The adjustment to the walls of the site includes flattening the back wall with the heaven entrance while creating a new hop-up spot on the side wall for defenders. These changes optimize visibility and prevent sneaky flanks from the back cubby.
On the other hand, the B site will have adjustments to the defender’s spawn doorway and the addition of a new vent hole. This vent hole will allow players to throw utility from the site into B elbow and hall, providing attackers with a surprise advantage without having to expose themselves in the hall.
New Challenges and Life Injected into Bind
Riot Games’ updates to Bind aim to inject new life into this classic map. Experienced agents will face new challenges when they step onto the updated Bind for the first time on Tuesday, April 25. Get ready to adapt your strategies and explore the fresh changes in competitive play!
