Report: Former Fnatic VALORANT Trio Reunites to Create Superteam in VCT Challengers Polaris League

Former Fnatic VALORANT Players Joining Apeks

According to a report by Blix.gg’s Alejandro Gomis, former Fnatic VALORANT players James “Mistic” Orfila, Enzo Mestari, and Martin “Magnum” Peňkov are joining forces on Apeks.

Apeks Aiming to Dominate Polaris League

The VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers circuit is filled with talented players who couldn’t secure a spot on a partnered team for the 2023 season. Apeks, a Norwegian organization, is looking to take over the Polaris League for EMEA VALORANT by signing some of the strongest free agents as its core. Many of these players have played for top teams like Fnatic, winning events locally and internationally.

Past Success of Mistic, Magnum, and Enzo

Mistic and Magnum played together on Fnatic from April 2021 to April 2022, achieving a second-place finish at Masters: Reykjavík and placing in the top eight at Champions last year. Enzo replaced Magnum in the middle of the 2022 season, bringing his slightly older and more experienced talent to the team.

Enzo teamed up with Mistic for the remainder of the 2022 season, achieving a fourth-place finish at Masters: Copenhagen and a fifth-place finish at VALORANT Champions. Both Mistic and Enzo were released from Fnatic during the offseason and are now free to explore other opportunities. The three former Fnatic stars are set to join forces and dominate the Challengers league, with the goal of qualifying for the EMEA VCT Tour in 2024.

Apeks’s Commitment to Success

The remaining two players on the Apeks team have yet to be announced, but it’s clear that the organization is determined to win tournaments and achieve greatness.
