Renewed NRG vs. LOUD rivalry witnesses remarkable surge in viewership for VCT LOCK//IN

Loud Emerges Victorious in VCT LOCK//IN Alpha Bracket Finals

In the final day of the VCT LOCK//IN Alpha Bracket, VALORANT fans witnessed a rematch of last year’s Champions grand finals. This time, LOUD and NRG (formerly OpTic Gaming) had different lineups, but the result was the same as LOUD emerged as the winner once again. With over 850,000 online viewers, the event attracted massive viewership.

The VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo has been a major hit, surpassing the viewership numbers of last year’s VALORANT Masters. According to Esports Charts, the top five series with the highest peak viewership at VCT LOCK//IN have all featured American teams in competition.

The NRG vs. LOUD quarterfinals series holds the top spot with a peak viewership of 852,720. LOUD dominated the first map, but NRG fought back in the second map, forcing overtime. The third map also went into overtime, with both teams trading rounds until LOUD emerged as the ultimate victor.

The high viewership numbers are not surprising, as VALORANT is immensely popular in North and South America. Additionally, the intense rivalry between LOUD and NRG has attracted a large number of fans to tune in and witness the series between these two teams.

With their victory, LOUD has secured a spot in the semifinals, where they will face the strong DRX team on March 2. With the advantage of a home-crowd buff, the Brazilian team is looking unstoppable and poised to win the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Omega bracket of VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo will begin on Feb. 22. The first series will be between Team Liquid and Team Secret at 11am CT, followed by Natus Vincere and KRÜ Esports competing at 2pm CT.
