Recent Ranked VALORANT matches suggest Sentinels considering role swaps and player changes

Sentinels Prepares for VCT Americas: Team Changes and Speculations

On Friday, April 21, Sentinels will face LOUD in the VCT Americas, bringing potential new compositions and players to the match. Recently, Sacy has been seen practicing with initiators instead of playing controllers, while Zekken has been focusing on playing Jett in Ranked games. This suggests that pANcada may return to playing controllers, and Marved, the sixth-player, may step in to handle smokes. This lineup adjustment would allow TenZ to take some time off to recover from a hand injury, with Zekken covering for him on Jett.

Role Changes and Performance

The VALORANT community was quick to notice Sacy playing duos with Zekken in a recent game, taking on the role of initiator. Prior to the VCT Americas, Sacy had switched to playing controller while pANcada switched to sentinel. Although these changes worked against 100 Thieves in their league debut, the Sentinels struggled against NRG and Leviatán.

Community Speculations

Sacy’s recent shift to playing initiators in Ranked games has led the community to believe that he will return to his original role as controller in the fourth round of VCT Americas against LOUD.

Trouble in the Sentinels’ Camp

The Sentinels have been facing difficulties since their loss to Leviatán on Sunday, April 16, putting them at a 1-2 record in VCT Americas. The team has recently part ways with head coach Donald “Syyko” Muir, and it has been revealed that TenZ played with a hand injury. This prompted his girlfriend, streamer Kyedae, to request empathy during this challenging time.

Speculative Changes and Confirmed Coach Replacement

It is important to note that all the mentioned changes are speculative based on the players’ performance in Ranked games and the context following the Leviatán loss. The reason behind TenZ playing with a hand injury instead of using Marved remains unclear, although it appears that TenZ is currently working on his travel visa to Los Angeles. The only confirmed change so far is the appointment of former strategic coach Adam Kaplan as Sykko’s replacement. Sentinels will face LOUD on Friday, April 21 at 2pm CT.
