Raze and Killjoy face VALORANT Patch 6.03 nerfs on VAL-entines day without fanfare for their abilities.

Agents Raze and Killjoy to Receive Nerfs in Upcoming VALORANT Patch

Riot Games has confirmed that two agents in VALORANT, Raze and Killjoy, will be receiving nerfs in Patch 6.03. This comes as no surprise as the developers continue to balance the game. In addition, the game mode Swiftplay will soon transition from beta testing to a full game release.

Sentinel Agents Make a Comeback, Duelists Remain Popular

Following the recent nerfs to Chamber, other Sentinel agents, including Killjoy and Cypher, have regained their popularity in both ranked and professional play. On the other hand, duelists like Raze, Jett, and Reyna continue to be stable picks across all ranks.

Killjoy and Raze Receive Adjustments

In December, Killjoy received a buff with increased health for her Nanoswarm and ultimate ability, Lockdown. However, Riot deemed these changes to be too strong and will be nerfing her ultimate and Turret in Patch 6.03. The Turret’s health will be decreased from 125 to 100, and the Lockdown’s point cost will be increased from seven to eight.

Raze Faces Nerfs to Boom Bot

Raze, who has remained popular, especially at the professional level, has not seen many major changes in recent VALORANT patches. However, her Boom Bot was slightly nerfed in Patch 5.12, reducing its health from 100 to 60. Now, in Patch 6.03, the Boom Bot’s duration will be decreased from 10 seconds to five seconds. This change will limit Raze’s ability to gather information.

Overall, these nerfs aim to bring balance to the game and ensure a more fair playing experience for all agents. In addition to these changes, the fast-paced unrated short match mode, Swiftplay, will continue to be playable in VALORANT, offering players a quick and intense gaming experience.
