Qualified teams earn over $7.5 million from VCT Champions Collection

Riot Games Celebrates VCT Champions’ Success with Million-Dollar Prize Pool

The VCT Champions Collection has been an incredible hit for Riot Games and the players involved, and there’s even more excitement on the horizon.

Riot Games developed a skin collection to commemorate VALORANT’s first global tournament. Notably, half of the proceeds from this collection, which amounts to an astounding $7.5 million, will go to the participating teams in VCT Champions.

The 16 teams competing at the event are vying not only for the coveted title of VALORANT World Champions but also for the biggest prize pool in VALORANT history. Previously, the largest prize pool stood at $700,000 from the Stage Three Masters in Berlin, where Gambit Esports secured $225,000. VCT Champions features a base prize pool of one million dollars, with additional funds coming from the ongoing sales of the Champions bundle.

VALORANT enthusiasts have until December 13, one day after the Finals, to purchase in-game skins and other items. It is on this day that the first global VALORANT champion will be crowned.

The Champions Vandal skin is hailed as Riot’s “most ambitious to date,” according to VCT.gg. It boasts various features inspired by the global tournament, including the highly sought-after “Champions Aura” that illuminates the skin upon scoring a kill. Additionally, the Champions collection offers a unique finisher that transports players into the world of the official music video, “Die For You,” the competition’s anthem.
