‘Project Loki: A Fusion of League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Super Smash Bros’ – An Innovation from Former VALORANT and Overwatch Developers

Theorycraft Games Announces New PvP Shooter: Project Loki

New independent studio Theorycraft Games, led by industry veterans from Riot Games and Activision Blizzard, has revealed its upcoming PvP shooter, codenamed Project Loki. The studio aims to create a game that keeps players engaged for thousands of hours and is best enjoyed with friends. Early playtests have already drawn comparisons to popular games like League of Legends, Apex, and Smash. Project Loki is promised to be a unique experience that goes beyond the traditional hero shooter genre.

The team at Theorycraft Games has drawn inspiration from successful PvP titles such as VALORANT and Overwatch to create Project Loki. CEO Joe Tung, formerly of League of Legends and Halo, expressed the need for something new and fun to play with friends. The studio has been working closely with a group of hardcore playtesters to bring their vision to life and is excited to take the next step in development.

Project Loki offers players the chance to pick their heroes and engage in battles within a massive combat sandbox. The game combines elements from battle royales, MOBAs, shooters, and action titles, offering a unique mix of gameplay experiences. Theorycraft Games is focused on creating a game that appeals to players from all types of multiplayer games.

Interested players can sign up for the upcoming pre-alpha playtest of Project Loki on PC, taking place on June 29 and 30. Theorycraft Games will continue to share more information, including gameplay footage, playtest opportunities, and the official name of the game, as development progresses.
