Presenting VALORANT Patch 7.09’s Full Notes

VALORANT Patch 7.09: New Agent, Changes to Agents and Weapons

VALORANT’s Episode Seven, Act Three is here with Patch 7.09, bringing exciting new content and updates to the game. Along with the introduction of the seventh duelist agent, Iso, there are also several changes to existing agents and weapons.

Iso is Here

Iso, the new duelist agent, is finally here. Equipped with unique abilities like a bullet-bending wall and a molecular bolt that makes enemies fragile, Iso can create an interdimensional one-versus-one arena as his ultimate ability. His signature ability rewards him with invulnerability for precise gunplay. Unlock Iso using 8,000 Kingdom Credits or 1,000 VP.

Cypher, Skye, Fade, and Raze in the Spotlight

Cypher

Trapwire, one of Cypher’s sentinel abilities, has been buffed. The delay for concussing an enemy caught in the wire has been reduced from three seconds to 1.5 seconds. The slow effect caused by being tagged by a trip wire has also been increased from 0.75 seconds to two seconds. Additionally, Trapwire is no longer single-use, allowing it to re-arm itself after catching an enemy.

Skye and Fade

Skye’s Trailblazer and Fade’s Prowler abilities have updated hitboxes that allow them to go under Cypher’s Trapwires without triggering or destroying them. However, the hitboxes remain the same when shot at with weapons.

Raze

Raze’s Paint Shell grenade has been nerfed. The explosion radius and damage radius have been reduced, and the damage dealt has been decreased from 15 HP to 1 HP. The satchels or Blast Packs now require 1.5 seconds to fully arm before dealing damage. These changes aim to make Raze’s abilities less overpowering and more strategic.

The Judge has been Judged with Patch 7.09

The Judge, a powerful weapon in the game, has been nerfed. The maximum magazine size has been reduced from seven bullets to five, and the bullet spread has increased when jumping and running while shooting.

New Premier Improvement Changes

Patch 7.09 brings various improvements to VALORANT’s Premier mode. Timeouts, practice queues, and overall matchmaking changes have been added to enhance the competitive experience. The number of points teams need to qualify for playoffs has been reduced, and an uneven number of teams will be present in each Premier zone.

Mute Players When You Report Them

A new player behavior update allows you to mute a player you’ve reported in-game, streamlining the process.

Updated Friends Icons for Other Riot Games

Player icon styles for friends playing other Riot games, such as League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, have been updated.

All Bug Fixes in VALORANT’s Patch 7.09

Only two minor bugs have been fixed in this patch: an audio bug causing footstep noises when players detached from a rope and a white screen issue during login for some players.
