VALORANT Patch 6.08: What’s Changing

Riot Games has released Patch 6.08 for VALORANT, which includes updates to the popular agent Killjoy and improvements to Gekko’s Wingman ability. This patch also brings some changes to maps and bug fixes.

Agent Updates

Gekko

  • Wingman
    • Improved audio cues for Wingman’s plant and defuse sound to make them clearer during intense combat situations.
  • Updated in-game portrait for better readability and quality consistency.

Killjoy

“As Killjoy has become more prominent in the meta, we’ve identified areas where we can improve her abilities,” said Riot. “We’ve made changes to her audio cues to make them more distinct and easier to understand when her utility has been destroyed. We’ve also increased the reveal radius on her Nanoswarm ability to match its damage area and improve tracking. Additionally, we’ve removed the yellow warning indicator from her ultimate ability, Lockdown.”

  • Nanoswarm (C)
    • Increased reveal radius from 350 to 525.
    • Updated audio cues for Nanoswarm and added a feature where the sound turns off if Killjoy is killed or suppressed.
    • Improved feedback for enemies when they destroy Nanoswarm.
    • Nanoswarm is now revealed when disabled.
  • Other Abilities
    • Updated visuals for Lockdown being destroyed.
    • Removed the yellow warning UI Indicator for enemies.
    • Improved deactivate sounds for Turret and Alarmbot to make them more distinct.
