Premier sees Valorant’s top agents achieving similar win rates

VALORANT Premier Mode Shows Promise of Balance in Agent Win/Loss Rates

VALORANT’s Premier mode aims to provide the highest level of competitive action, with players divided into divisions based on average MMR. Early results from the global open beta phase indicate that the goal of balance is being achieved.

Premier is still in its early stages, having completed just one weekend of matches on Ascent. However, the initial data on agent win/loss balance is encouraging.

Agent Win Rates Show Balance

According to data collected by Blitz.gg, the top agents in terms of overall pick rate in the several thousand Premier matches that have been played so far—Killjoy, Jett, Omen, Sova, KAY/O, Reyna, and Sage—all have win rates between 49 and 51 percent. This means that no agent has a win rate that deviates by more than one point from 50 percent.

Less Popular Agents Struggle

While the most frequently chosen agents demonstrate balance, the least popular agents have significantly lower win rates. Among the seven least-picked agents—Gekko, Viper, Breach, Chamber, Neon, Yoru, and Harbor—all except for Breach have win rates below 48 percent, with Harbor having the lowest win rate at 43.6 percent. It is worth noting, however, that the Premier matches have only taken place on the Ascent map so far, which may not favor agents like Neon, Viper, and Yoru.

This consistency in win rates for the popular agents is an important indication that the team sorting system in Premier is effective. While it doesn’t guarantee a 50 percent win rate, careful teammate selection can increase your chances of winning more games.
