The Most Reliable Composition in VALORANT Premier Season
For aspiring VALORANT pros, Premier is now more important than ever as it serves as the gateway to a professional playing career. Teams are searching for a fail-safe composition, and it seems like they’ve found one.
The Premier season in VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Three is crucial because reaching the top division in Contenders is a requirement for qualifying for VCT Challengers. After just two weeks, the composition of Omen, Jett, Sova, Killjoy, and KAY/O has emerged as the most relied upon composition in all Premier play, according to stats site Blitz.gg.

Blitz.gg doesn’t provide data for full compositions, but from the agent pick rate data, we can see that these five agents are frequently picked together. Omen has the highest pick rate at 15.5 percent, and all the top five agents have a pick rate of at least 10.8 percent after the first two weeks of this Premier season on Split and Sunset. Cypher has the next highest pick rate at 4.7 percent.
While other agents can be swapped out for members of the top five, these five agents make up the standard, tried-and-true composition that works well on various maps. This composition is particularly viable on Split, Sunset, Ascent, Haven, Bind, and Lotus. However, it may not be as effective on Breeze, where a controller like Viper would be a better choice than Omen.
Nevertheless, this composition provides all the basic utility a team needs on both attack and defense. Jett serves as the space creator and primary Operator wielder, Sova gathers information and provides post-plant value, Killjoy locks down the defensive side and also provides post-plant value, Omen throws out smokes, and KAY/O contributes in various ways, including gathering information, throwing flashes, and clearing out spots with grenades.
With Ascent coming up this weekend, and with Bind, Lotus, and Haven coming later in this Premier season, it will be difficult to find a more solid composition to play on those maps.
