Player uncovers bug in VALORANT’s Phoenix Curveball ability, providing vision through walls on Haven map

Riot to Address Game-Breaking Bug in VALORANT Closed Beta

The highly anticipated closed beta of the popular esports game VALORANT has been met with excitement from players, content creators, and pro gamers alike. However, it seems that the game still has its fair share of bugs and glitches.

One such bug affecting the character Phoenix has recently been discovered by a VALORANT player. This bug allows players to momentarily see through walls on the Haven map. tested the glitch and confirmed similar results.

This bug manifests when defending B site on Haven. By activating Phoenix’s Curveball animation, players are able to catch a glimpse of the attacking team’s window, potentially exposing any snipers lurking there. Interestingly, actually using the ability is not necessary for the glitch to occur. Simply initiating the animation will trigger the bug.

The player who discovered the bug also found that it works on another wall in the corner of B site, allowing one to see through to A short. By crouching on top of the boxes and performing the Curveball animation, players can inform their teammates of enemy positions near A.

Some players speculated that enemy models would not be visible through walls using this glitch. However, a VALORANT fan tested it with opponents and found that they are indeed still visible. This makes the bug a potential game-breaking issue.

Riot has yet to address this bug, but it is likely that they will patch it out if it starts to significantly impact matchmaking in the closed beta.
