Patiphan Steps Down from X10’s Active VALORANT Lineup Citing Wrist Injury

X10 Esports VALORANT Pro, Patiphan, Takes Break for Wrist Injury

Patiphan Chaiwong, a 17-year-old professional VALORANT player for X10 Esports, will be taking a break during VCT Stage Three to receive treatment for a wrist injury, as announced by the organization and the player today.

The announcement follows Patiphan’s revelation during a recent stream that he has been playing with an injured wrist for the past seven months.

“I know I shouldn’t have been playing these past months, but I just couldn’t stop overthinking. So, I decided to push myself as far as I could, and I guess this is my limit now,” wrote the Thai pro in a Twitlonger. “The injury doesn’t affect my performance at all, but it’s all about my confidence. Lastly, I’m staying with the team and hopefully, I’ll be back sooner.”

Regaining Health and a New Challenge

X10 stated on Facebook that Patiphan must receive close treatment from specialized doctors, and his return would depend on the recovery time. In the meantime, the Thai team will be playing with their head coach, Yuttanagorn “Zeus” Kaewkongyai, in the upcoming tournaments.

Zeus will face a tough task, as Patiphan was one of the best players in X10 and showed remarkable performance during a VCT Masters Two Reykjavik match against Crazy Raccoon. The 17-year-old seems to be aware of this and urged fans not to direct any hate towards Zeus or the team.

X10 will make their debut with Zeus today at Thailand VCT Stage Three Challengers One. They are currently playing against Need Sponsor, and the series is tied 1-1.
